This full day workshop will train you using role plays and other exercises to equip you with a model to easily establish rapport and engage the interest of major gift prospects and to move them into a position from which you can comfortably ask for their gift and ongoing support.

The Gift Asking workshop is only open to those who have completed Essentials of Major Gift Fundraising.

John Godfrey

John is a consultant and trainer. His speciality is major gift fundraising, capital campaigns and sponsorship. He has trained representatives of numerous third sector organisations through various public and in house workshops in Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

Conference and master class presentations have included the Fundraising Institute of New Zealand; the South Asian Fundraising Group (SAFRAG), in New Delhi and Mumbai; the ADAPE International Conference, Auckland; the (UK) Institute of Fundraising’s Scotland, North-West, and Welsh Conferences.

Clients for whom John has worked as a consultant include the National Library of Scotland, the University of Stirling, Heriot-Watt University, Queensland University of Technology, the University of Technology Sydney, Auckland Grammar School, the Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop, craftscotland and Visiting Arts (London).
